Tons of fabulous solids quilts were linked up last month. Thank you to everyone who linkup or visited others. If you haven't had a chance to check them out, hop over to see what folks shared.

And without further ado (especially since I'm late and backdating this to the 1st!) this month's challenge is to Show Me Something with Squares! This feels almost too easy, but came to me through an idea that I'm wanting to work on (though will certainly not finish this month).

Maybe your quilt is a square. Maybe there are squares on your fabrics. Maybe you pieced some squares. Or in the case of improv piecing, maybe they are approximately squares.

Squares within another design: churn dash, nine patch, four patches in the borders, etc.

Almost all squares.

Perfectly cut AccuQuilt squares (for the 4-patches and the background).

I look forward to seeing how you've used squares in your quilts in the past as well as any new quilts with squares you finish this month!

Thank you to everyone who linked up their challenge quilts last month. I can't believe it's already the first of the month again. I am excited with so many new things happening in my studio. I think I was inspired by this upcoming theme (as well as a class I'm taking -- more on that later) as I placed an order for a lovely assortment of solids this morning.

This month, Show Me Something with Solids. This can be a quilt in all solids or something with a mixture of prints and solids. Your finished projects can be something you've previously finished or something new you finish this month. If you're up for making something specifically for this challenge, keep in mind that any size is great! (The less time I have for a challenge, the smaller I make my project.) Please linkup up to 3 projects.

 

Maybe you enjoy monochromatic palettes.

Perhaps you like bright, vibrant colors.

This next set was the palette I used for a mini quilt I finished in January... once I write a blog post about it I'll link it up below.

I've pulled the following fabrics to use on my Color of Connection quilt. The quilt along started today. Consider joining in!

Quilt challenges are some of my favorite ways to start (and finish!) a project! I love having a limited focus delivered by the challenge whether it be a color palette, style, theme, skill, or tool. And I love a deadline for getting things done! I recently wrote about the now underway season of Project QUILTING challenges. This month, Show Me Something That's a Challenge, that is, a quilt you've finished from a challenge prompt. This can be something from a past challenge or something new you finish this month. Please linkup up to 3 projects.

If you've participated in any kind of quilt challenge in the past, please linkup what you've made. If you're looking to try out a quilt challenge for the first time, here are a few options in January:
