8. Alison Glass Sunprints 2018. These are some of my favorite fabrics. I'm mostly saving them, but now that I've been doing that for numerous years, I plan to combine all of the Sunprints for a large rainbow quilt.

9. Another View of my Pantone Ultra Violet All About Angles quilt top. I’m excited to start teaching this technique in 2019. See my finished quilt here.

This month's Design Wall Wednesday has been all about Improv Tumbler blocks. I shared the plan for my project at the beginning of the month. Last week my rows were together but they were a little too wonky. Now I've straightened them out and added some half tumbler units into the ends of each row to help minimize how much of the quilt will be lost in trimming. Unlike my last Improv Tumbler quilt I plan to cut this one into a rectangular shape.

It's coming together. Next up, I'll be joining my wonky rows together.

Part of my commitment as an Island Batik Ambassador is to make a rep samples from pre-release lines of fabric. Back in July I received my second shipment of fabric and supplies for the year and my secret line of fabric was Fortune Teller. I love the vibrant colors as well as the dragonflies and butterflies! This is the fabric I'll be using for my January project so I thought I'd give you a sneak peek!

The rep samples are a quick and simple sew as they are made with squares and finished with the pillowcase binding method and simple quilting stitches. These 12" x 18" samples will travel with Island Batik reps to show off the fabrics and then are donated to be used as Kennel Quilts. I finished this one back in August when I couldn't show it to you yet. The Fortune Teller line was shared at Fall Quilt Market, so now I can show it off!

I look forward to getting started with this vibrant fabric for my January project!
