Building an Improv Toolbox is my most popular workshop. In that workshop I teach a variety of improv piecing techniques that can be used together or on their own. In my new series, Quilts from the Toolbox, I am teaching specific improv blocks or units to use for an individual project. In each class I will teach a selection of improv piecing techniques and show ideas for combining them into a particular style of improv block. I will teach step-by-step instruction for how to construct each unit, provide the color palette from my featured quilt or quilts, and offer finishing techniques to be able to put your improv blocks together.
The format of these classes is live demonstration and lecture. The live Zoom session is scheduled for 2 hours to allow for ample Q&A during and at the conclusion of my lesson. Classes will be recorded and available for a limited time for rewatching. You may choose to work along with me during class if you like or start to create your blocks after the initial viewing and during the two week review period.
Join us live on Wednesdays 9-11am PACIFIC time. Be sure to check your time zone.
