One of my favorite parts of my newsletter is building color palettes. I thought I'd share a couple of them here with you! My inspiration for this week's palettes is the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral. I think it's not quite pink enough, but I used Kona Nectarine as the closest Kona Cotton to Living Coral. (Anyone think a different Kona is closer? Or another solid brand has a closer match?)

Kona Cotton colors are listed clockwise from upper left. Always check actual bolts/samples before making your purchases, as colors display differently on different screens.

 

Nectarine, Red, Ruby, Bone, Peach.

 

Nectarine, Cerise, Caribbean, Nightfall, Taupe.

I'm so excited to share that I'll be helping to co-host the 2019 Finish Along! I've been participating in this program since 2014! I find it hugely motivating to set quarterly goals for which projects I want to work on... though I decided long ago that my Finish Along posts would serve as a laundry list of allmy WIPs. I like that every three months, even if I never touched some projects, I am reminded of what I have in progress.

I love having a library of sewing and quilting inspiration. I'm sharing the three latest books that I've added to my collection.

Modern Plus Sign Quilts by Cheryl Brickey and Paige Alexander contains a wide variety of modern quilts featuring plus signs in numerous interesting ways.

Walk by Jacquie Gering is all about quilting with the walking foot. I can't wait to dive in and try out the techniques featured in the book.

50 Little Gifts, compiled by Susanne Woods has a variety of small projects. This one caught my daughter's eye at PIQF where we were able to see numerous samples of the adorable projects. There are bags, pouches, ornaments, coasters, and more.
