We inherited many large artichoke plants in out backyard when we moved in two years ago. They don't actually produce awesome artichokes and we don't appear to be inclined to give them the TLC (and pesticides?) to make that happen. They do, however, bloom into amazing purple flowers. They caught my eye this week so I took a moment to take a few pictures of the artichoke flowers. Once I got closer I realized there were tons of honeybees enjoying the flowers.
